Marrakesh Menara Airport is a small, modern airport. However, it can be hectic, and airport security can be onerous, particularly if multiple flights land at a similar time.
Sometimes, the arrivals hall is busy, slow, and unpleasant. If you are unlucky, you could be queuing for an hour or even two at peak times.  It is worth looking at Fast Track options to avoid this.

The immigration officers can be pretty officious. Couples are usually expected to attend the desks separately, not as a couple, and you must stand behind the line until you are called. You will be asked where you are staying, so please ensure you have the address to hand.
The details are as follows, depending on whether you are joining us for the entire celebration or Marrakesh wedding only.

• Entire celebration. The Capaldi Hotel, Route d’Amizmiz, Lalla Takerkoust
• Marrakesh only. Ezzahra Estate, Palmeraie, Marrakesh, Marrakesh – Safi.

Once you have passed security, you will find the baggage carousel ahead. Once you have collected your bags, you must join another queue to scan your luggage before you leave the arrivals lounge.

You can’t take Moroccan Dirham currency into or out of the country, so getting some currency at the airport is a great idea. There is a foreign exchange counter in the airport close to the baggage area; you won’t need a lot of cash, but having some for taxis, tipping, and shopping is helpful. There are ATMs in the city, but they can be unreliable, so the airport offers a good option. You will also need some Euros for tipping at the Ezzahra, and we recommend 50 Euros per room per night.

At the airport, you might be offered help with your luggage. However, it is worth noting that anyone who offers you help will ask for money, which can be uncomfortable. So, a polite NO is best, as the walk to the private transfer area is short and easy to manage.
